Carrot Walnut Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Cakes was never in my favorite list until I tasted May's Carrot cake and the Chocolate Moist cake.

Last Chinese New Year, I decided to go for a change of sending cakes to my family members instead of the usual hampers. Thought I was not fancied with cakes or anything sweet, I was captivated by the beauty of the cakes and amazed by how a person could make such an effort to see into tiny details of the overall appearance of the cakes. At that time, to me, the cakes looked good and nice as gifts, that's all I had in my mind!

What I didn't expect was that it became our topic of conversation as everyone was enjoying and exchanging words of praises for the cakes. In fact, I didn't know that there are so many words to describe cakes: Mmm... very nice, yummy yummy, not too sweet, gum gum ho (just nice).. not to dry, texture is smooth, beautiful, not too heavy, holiao ( tastes great) etc...etc.

If these wrods were to come out from people like me, I wouldn't bother but these words were from frequent cake eaters who were very fussy about what cakes they put into their mouths, I was reassured of my taste buds about the cakes.

Now, I am bound with the duty of sending them the cakes (carrot and cholate moist cake) whenever I visit them.

Mmm.....yummy yummy....
